My daughter had a project in biology about cells. She elected to talk/write about pancreatic cancer. In a way, I was flattered because the subject is somewhat hard to talk about in the family and with this project, she had to uncover stones and find out the reality of it.
She asked me several questions, did book and web research. I read her project and it reminded me of the things I had to go through with this ordeal.
Teenagers who have a close person afflicted with cancer do their thinking on their own. They often do not want to talk about it because the end result is scary and in most cases terminal.
I'm definitely proud of the choice of project she made and I know that because of all the hard work she put into it, she will get a great note.
Just thought the world needed to know this.
Tis for now/ciao/mlb
