Let The Games Begin - Round 2

...For those of you that are wondering what is going on, well...

First and foremost, I now have diabetes-type 1 (juvenile-the term alone makes me feel young). I'm starting my regime this coming Monday. 10iu am/10iu pm. I should get a bulleye tattooed on my belly and keep score. Dang, this is perpetual.

And so the diet will change. Ironically the Chemo and Diabetes do not share the same recipes. One is low fiber diet whiles the other is high fiber. Hard choices when you eat bread like I do. Will this be white or brown... I'll have fun with this when I order breakfast.

On the Chemo side, I have the port installed and healed (it looks as if a bone was sticking out of my shouder area). Weird but effective I hear. My first GEM treatment is this Friday 10am, then followed every week for 3 weeks on, 1 week off. Considering this being a different drug than before, I have no idea as to what to expect other than the dosage will be changed according to my bloodwork. Better get my pill pack ready.

I'm on LTD until this is resolved so I will keep busy with little home chores or projects. I can not predict what will get done at this time but most certainly I will do what needs to get done around the house: deck, fence, hot tub... then jump in and relax.

Been to MTL and spent some time with friends and family. This was a great change.

Tis for now/ciao/mlb
